Fist, after you have built your site you need to make sure you have a sitemap. A sitemap is a page that links to every single webpage on your site. When the "googlebot" goes to this page, you can be sure it wont miss any of your pages when it starts scanning.

The next and biggest step is to "add your site" to google.com A lot of people dont even do this. Well...HELLO..you have to tell google to crawl your site if you want it to be scanned right away.

To add your site, just go to http://www.google.com/addurl.html

Thats it!! Once you have added your site to google, just sit back and wait. It usually takes about a month to get in google and maybe 2-3 months before every page is scanned on your site.
